Signs of Betrayal — An Arizona band comprised of talented homegrown musicians David Williams, Scott Ables, Colby Cordova, Steve Blodgett and Steve Schon. Rising to the top on the indie music scene is summed up with the cliché «You gotta pay your dues!” The coveted notoriety on the local and national scenes is something a band like S.O.B. gained through dedication, practice, playing and connecting with crowds, as well as rocking the house while headlining some of the southwest’s most popular venues. Seamless song crafting and consistent execution allows Signs of Betrayal to keep a loyal fan-base that has helped shape the sound along with the progression of a hard rock hobby, into a band that has shared the stage with Static-X, Seether and Lacuna Coil and built a buzz with local radio spins. The journey as a young band has afforded them the opportunity to work with industry veterans and has raised the bar for each individual to create a new sense of inspiration on each album. The Reformation, Wide Eyed Coma and Distortia were each given their shine respectively with standout singles such as “Against the Grain”, “My Song to You” and “Seasons Collide”.
Along with new experience comes new sound and the Symbols EP provides one of the most polished/cohesive efforts by the group and was put forth with Signs Of Betrayal’s trademark non-conformist approach. On June 1, 2010, S.O.B will be teaming up with Universal/Bungalo/Protekted Record to release their first national single, “Catatonic”. “Catatonic” demonstrates the delicate balance of chugging bass, screaming guitars & crisp percussion to provide an electrifying chemistry that gives fans, listeners, critics and haters something to keep buzzing about while Signs of Betrayal quietly puts the rock music scene in a choke hold.
