Начал играть на пианино в 5 лет.
Переехал в Данию в 1984 году, а в 1989 году Андрей Андерсен и Стин Могенсен основывают группу Royal Hunt.
На данный момент — один из известнейших музыкантов в стиле прогрессив-металл.
