If a full summer on the Van’s Warped Tour has taught this band anything, it’s that hardwork and dedication pays off big time! Emerging from the basements of Long Island, NY; Patent Pending has taken the pop-punk scene by storm through dozens of nationwide tours with bands like Cobra Starship, Gym Class Heroes, Zebrahead, Bowling For Soup, and countless others over the last 3 years. With multiple videos having been in rotation on MTVU(USA), Fuse TV(USA), Much Music (Canada), and countless Cable On-Demand channels, the band has reached a core listener base of all ages, captivating listeners and watchers with their unique blend of melodic pop-punk, in your face energy and optimistic views on the American music scene and life in general.
Fresh off of the release of their latest album Attack Of The Awesome, Patent Pending has been making a believer out of everyone with their anthemic lyrics, infectious hooks, and undying dedication to their craft. Attack of the Awesome, which was released in August of 2009, displays both some of the band’s most clever and memorable lyrics, as well as the most anthemic and infectious songs to date. The band shot a video for one of the singles «Drop Dead» with the help of producer Steve Pedulla (Thursday). The album’s other single, «Anti Everything», is a cleverly-arranged melodic hit single that will be stuck in your head for days. Matty Lewis from Zebrahead even lent some of his talent to collaborate with Ragosta on the album.
Plans for this spring include recording a new EP with producer Jordan Shmidt (All Time Low, Motion City Soundtrack, Sing It Loud), and will be immediately followed by a string of tours across the country, allowing Patent Pending to do what they do best: taking every opportunity to turn audiences into raving fans.
